Heavy Duty Flush Procedures

STEP 1.

  1. Record water pump pressure and all temps.
  2. Drain coolant.
  3. Remove Surge/Day Tank Caps.
  4. Install 1” ball valve on each side of block underneath rail.
  5. Fill with HDF until overflow from Surge/Day Tank.
  6. Run Unit 7 days.

STEP 2.

  1. Power wash out Surge/Day Tank while full. Let particles overflow. (15 minutes)
  2. Drain Flush via ball valve on each side of block underneath rail.

  6. Drain Flush (dispose as you would old coolant)

STEP 3.

  1. Shutdown/Remove Surge Tank Cap.

  4. Fill with deionized water until overflow from Surge/Day Tank.
  5. Run Unit until up to temperature and thermostats open.
  6. Continue to pump in deionized water until overflow at the top from Surge/Day Tank before opening ball valves. (2 x volume) overflow until clean.
  7. Inspect water pump and replace thermostats.
  8. Drain Unit / Fill with New Coolant*
